Policies and Info!

Our studio has a strict ‘no-guest’ policy for a variety of reasons.

We do not allow friends or family members to tag along if they do not have their own tattoo appointment booked in.

This policy also includes the person driving you to and from your tattoo appointment, please plan accordingly.

Children are NOT allowed in the studio at any time.

DEPOSIT POLICY:

  • With each appointment a non-refundable deposit of $150 to $300 will be required. Your deposit will come off the final price of your tattoo. Your appointment will not be booked in until a deposit is received.

  • The deposit covers drawing time, appointment prep and discourages last minute cancellations/rescheduling. Any cancellations/rescheduling requires a MINIMUM of a 4 day notice.

  • Notice of a cancellation/rescheduling that is less than 4 days results in the forfeit of your deposit. NO EXCEPTIONS.

    -This also applies to any design changes and add-ons. Your design must be confirmed at the time of booking. Another deposit will be needed in order to rebook.

  • Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. NO EXCEPTIONS.

    -Please only book if you are 100% positive about the tattoo and appointment time.

  • Your deposit will be requested by me once we have decided on an appointment date and time that works for both of us. Deposits need to be e-transferred to trevorrodriguestattoos@gmail.com

TATTOOS I DO:

  • BLACK & GREY or COLOUR

    -I will tattoo in both black & grey or colour and most combinations in between.

  • TRADITIONAL & NEO-TRADITIONAL

    -I will take on most traditional and neo-traditional designs. I really love tattoos with classic traditional and neo-traditional imagery such as florals, lady heads, skulls, animals, birds, insects, nautical designs, etc.

  • BLACK & GREY REALISM (NO COLOUR REALISM)

    -I am more selective with the realism projects I choose to take on.

    -Currently I am only taking on small to medium-large realism pieces and I am not taking on full-sleeve realism projects.

    -Most of the realism projects I will choose to take on are portraits and pet portraits.

    -Please don’t be disappointed if I choose not to take on your realism project.

  • NEW SCHOOL & JAPANESE

    -My style is not fully New School or Japanese however I would like more projects with a New School or Japanese influence.

  • If you’re curious about a tattoo style not listed please feel free to reach out and I’ll let you know if it’s something I can do for you!

PRICING:

  • MINIMIM COST

    -My minimum price for a tattoo is $150 + tax.

    -This applies to any tattoo that takes me less than 1 hour.

  • HOURLY RATE

    -My hourly rate is $175 an hour + tax.

    -I usually round up to the nearest 15 minute increment once the tattoo is done.

  • FLAT RATE

    -A flat rate is an agreed upon price before the tattoo appointment. Time does not determine the price.

    -Flat rates are applied to most of my pre-drawn (up-for-grabs) designs.

    -There is still tax (13%) applied to flat rates.

PRE-DRAWN DESIGNS (UP-FOR-GRABS)

  • Occasionally I will post pre-drawn (up-for-grabs) designs which I will normally do for a flat rate (+ tax). These are designs I would really love to do!

  • Pre-drawn designs also require a deposit in order to book. ($150 - $300)

  • NO CHANGES can be applied to any of my pre-drawn designs. If changes are needed I would draw up something different for you and charge the tattoo at an hourly rate like a regular appointment. Most pre-drawn designs I will tattoo in either black & grey or colour unless stated otherwise.

LATE / NO SHOW POLICY:

Being too late, or not showing up for your appointment with zero notice is an automatic forfeit of your deposit.

  • If you are more than 15-30 minutes late for your appointment, you may need to be rescheduled as this can throw my schedule off if I have a back to back day — Please let me know if you are going to be late;

  • I may have the ability to be flexible, but most likely your appointment will need to be rescheduled and a new deposit will be needed to rebook.

  • There is zero tolerance for a “no show”. If you do not show up for your appointment, and do not give any notice, your deposit is forfeited and you will need to put down another deposit to re-book.

  • If you “no show” a touch up appointment, you will be required to put down a deposit to re-book your touch up. If you miss your second touch up appointment, a minimum tattoo charge will be required.

TIPS FOR YOUR TATTOO APPOINTMENT:

  • Eat before you come to your appointment and bring water, Gatorade, snacks, etc, to keep you fueled up. Also, feel free to ask for a lunch break if needed!

  • Get a good sleep and avoid alcohol the night before your appointment. Getting a good sleep can help you have more energy to push through the tattoo pain for longer. Having alcohol in your system from the night before can cause you to bleed more during the tattoo process which will affect the tattoo and its healing.

  • DO NOT apply numbing cream to your skin. I will unfortunately have to cancel the appointment if numbing cream has been applied which will result in you having to put down a new deposit in order to rebook. I personally will not tattoo someone that has used numbing cream, as it changes the texture of the skin and makes the tattoo process harder, which can also cause the tattoo to not heal its best. Most numbing creams only work for a small mount of time and wear off quickly. I usually offer light numbing spray (Bactine) on larger scale tattoos in case it is needed. Bactine has been proven to work well with most skin.

  • Wear comfortable clothes that allow access to the part of your body that is getting tattooed. Layers are always good or I suggest bringing a blanket as your temperature can fluctuate during the tattoo process.

  • Bring things to keep yourself occupied just in case, especially if you are coming for a longer appointment. Having head phones, movies/tv shows downloaded on your phone or tablet, a book...etc, can help keep you distracted from the tattoo process.
